Herring Designs, LC is a small limited liability company, founded in Gainesville, Florida in 2000. In April 2004 we moved to Breckenridge, Colorado where we are duly licensed by Summit County and registered with the Colorado Department of State as Herring Designs, LLC (dba Herring Designs, LC).

Pam Herring, a ceramic and fiber artist, and her husband, Marty Eisenberg, University of Florida Professor Emeritus of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering, own Herring Designs, LC.

To view and/or purchase any of Pam's artwork go to Pam's gallery page where you will see some biographical information and the story of how she came to create SlabMatTM.

Marty is an expert on solid and structural mechanics and related fields and has extensive experience in forensic engineering and products liability. Call for more information.

We are dedicated to providing a tool for improving the productivity of potters and ceramic artists. Current products are a line of proprietary non-woven fabrics (SlabMat™) for slab rolling, and hand building.

MOZILLA FIREFOX -- PayPal IDIOSYNCRASIES
What is supposed to happen:
When you click on a real button (this is just a picture)

You will be taken to Pay Pal's shopping cart, where you will find a "Return to shopping" button. Clicking it will take you back to our website, where you can add more items to your cart. On our site you will find a "View Cart" button . When you click on it you will be back in PayPal's cart. This is exactly what happens if you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.
What happens with Mozilla Firefox 2.0.0.11:
Click on the "Add to Cart" button and you are taken to PayPal's shopping cart. So far so good. But when you click
"Return to shopping" you are NOT taken back to our website. You NEED TO CLICK OUR WEBSITE'S TAB to continue shopping. If you click the "View Cart button" nothing happens unless you happened to have closed the PayPal tab -- then the PayPal tab reopens. To get back to PayPal's shopping cart you need to click its tab, where you will find an updated cart waiting for you. BOTTOM LINE: In Mozilla Firefox you need to click TABS to toggle between the Herring Design site and the PayPal shopping cart. In Internet Explorer you can click BUTTONS instead of TABS. Same number of clicks, but different style.

Mozilla and PayPal are both aware of their communication glitch which has nothing to do with our site. Mozilla has it on their "to fix list". PayPal doesn't really seem to care if their sloth helps the "evil empire" of software to continue to win the marketing battles without trying hard.
